Lexi was enjoying her sunbathing so much today that she couldn’t care less as I cleaned up manure around her

Spring has finally arrived! We’re still getting our typical mountain flurries but nothing worth complaining about! Horses are shedding like crazy and we’ve been busy doing whatever we can outside. Can’t wait for my upcoming birthday weekend and plenty of quality time with the horses!

It’s here! It’s here! I know I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again.. this seed catalog is a piece of art in itself! Be sure to check out Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company if you are shopping for heirloom seeds.

Time to start planning for 2013!

First there was stone…

We finally got stone delivered to finish our barn project but there was one annoying aspect of our stone delivery…. They ended up dropping it about 50 feet away from where we actually need it!? For us that means days of added work, shoveling stone into our lawn tractor, driving it over to dump it, then repeating. Again and again and again. We’re on day two now of stacking the stone wall and hauling rock back and forth. Never seems to work out the easy way for us, shoveling all weekend, now in the freezing wind and snow… Good news is, we’re almost there and once that barn goes up, it will all be worth it!
